Isn't the rule that in the team fights only one partner ever becomes the prize? It was the same with the one samurai, too. So I reckon only Chris will become his partner this fight.
Though I do have to say, I'm really wondering why the whole deal about male contestants being sex changed is even a thing at this point. It feels like the biggest Chekhov's Gun ever.
(Then again, I think we all know why. Still, I would have expected there to be at least one male opponent that gets genderbent after the fight by now. And no, Fine doesn't count by virtue of genderswapping before even being introduced.)

There's a leaked image of Chris in slave rags floating around on Twitter. She chubby chubby.

Isn't it if he dies on the battlefield he dies for real, and if he dies in the coliseum he gets resurrected...? Did he get hit so hard he mixed them up?
I was thinking the same but if the translations is correct maybe its something about him being part of the military and dying in such as place it would not look good for him the invencible warrior with this he at least can say its was a 2vs1 lost.

I think he wants to die just once and he wants that to be on the battlefield.

Dying in the Colosseum would defeat the concept and feeling of death for him (especially since he would be resurrected later), unlike the sense of fulfillment he would get from dying on a battlefield while enjoying the fight of his life (aka., typical muscle-head ideology).

On page 26, shouldn't it be "If I lose here I won't die." Not will?
The Raw text is,

ここは負ければ死ぬ

「戦場」ではない――

If you translate those two lines separately (as in lines in separate text bubbles), it would translate to what's in the scans.

But if you combine those two lines as one (aka., "ここは負ければ死ぬ「戦場」ではない――"), it should roughly translate something like "This is not a “battlefield”, where you die if you lose."

Ahhhh, then the phrasing makes more sense. I was still right about something in the positive meant as a negative in the original, just not which word.

Last month when i was searching for this manga in english, in various amazon sites, it finally popped up(with no image mind you) for a day or so. So that gives me hope it actually is getting released in english as well.
So for others like me that want to buy it, there might be hope.
