Glad Hishiro FINALLY pointed out how cruel the entire experiment is. While maybe the 2 MCs did sign up for it, every other person who gets a part of their memories erased did not consent to it, and that's kind of evil as hell, and I don't think the writer really ever acknowledges this. Pushing towards having two people fall in love and then forcing them to forget about each other as a part of "NEET Rehabilitation" and wiping a part of a bunch of people's memories is like 5th gate of hell cruel. The idea that someone I become best friends with or fall in love with would be completely erased from my memory is so messed up, and it feels insane that the writers tries putting a positive spin on it because "the lessons learned" from those experiences lives on. Sure it might be a selfish desire to be remembered and remember others, but it's not an evil one, and taking that away from people is unthinkable.
