They actually went to see a professional?! But it was axed anyway...

Thanks for translating all the way to the end!

Taking into account it seemingly got axed, shallow ending is rather inevitable, but still hoped to be handled more creatively, less underwhelmingly... Some conclusions to mini threads are not fitting previous manga direction. Maybe it was too hard to do without having a few more chapters, but in such case I wonder if just leaving some things unspoken and focusing solely on 1 topic only (Mari, Kon, whatever, you name it) wouldn't work better in the end, i.e. feel less inconsequential. Yet overall manga direction was also questionable, badly intensifying in a few previous chapters, so maybe they simply wanted to free readers from potentially less enjoyable ride. Hard to tell.

Still, thank you for translating this, it was some ride nevertheless.

Will be waiting for Aka's next work that could rival Kaguya in quality. Renai Daikou wasn't such one, sadly, and maybe it never meant to be.

She has a stepfather? That's not come up before.

"Still had to pay for her own living expenses."
But where did that money come from?

"Are you even that smart?"
Other than the smartass answer he gave, he has been shown to be rather intelligent. With some work, he can probably get into most universities.

"Even education and a job can be used to make you more attractive."
It's all about the paycheck. And height.

That "bad art" looks like purposefully bad art drawn by a competent artist.

The kind of romance that fits her is a slow romance. She needs some time.

Experiencing love by proxy. The "safe" way.

This didn't deserve the axe. Much better than people give it credit for, and so much above some mangas that just keep going it's not even funny. Actually dared to have characters who're not instantly likeable but need time to become better people.

This is why creators stick to generic romcoms and isekai with little room for experimentation. Stick your head off typical conventions, and the axe falls.

Wow, I was expecting Akasaka to be immune to the axe, sad, would have liked to keep watching these characters.
Well, at least the ending looks okay, better than a lot of axed manga.
Yeah, I thought he'd get a bit more trust in developing a longer story that takes its time doesn't just instantly please people with fast laughs, cheap drama, or constant teases of progression.

Congratulations to everyone who called the axe, you won that bet

Personally I am salty with Kon still denying Pon advances, I was under the impression that their became a thing and they were dating, but fuck me I guess?

The people that saw it coming were right, Marimari and her crazy mom did end up being the end of this manga

Which is funny because we never even got to see the woman's face, or read her name, and the step father comes out of nowhere on this very last chapter, is he evfen the same guy she was cheating on or a different guy?

Imagine getting your manga killed by a faceless, nameless, crazy, background cheating housewife

With such a ludicrous scenario, I guess all you can say is, sure that's fair...

Hah, I guess Aka didn't have enough time to properly make Kon fall in love with Pon so he decide to make it a semi-open ending. Too bad, seeing them get together and kiss would've been a great finale.

I'd love for some kind of short sequel, maybe even a 1-volume work, which gives full closure to both of these romances. Maybe in the future...

that's it?
This was certainly a manga. It had panels, drawings and characters, and the characters did things.
Yeah it's like... what? It's not a  bad ending I guess, but everything was wrapped up super quickly with no proper closure. I think it had potential and could have gone for longer, but oh well. It is indeed a manga that I have read.

Eh? That's it. Damn. Welp at least he can now focus on Oshi no Ko now that this one is finished.
