I'm not sure how to feel about this series because it's the 1st chapter. I was really close to disliking the MC guy because of his backstory and mindset, but the setup did well with showing he's aware and has intentions to change (tho that won't prevent lucky pervert moments from happening and the gag will probably be he passes out/nearly passes out from it).
His realization that he might be interested in the black-hair girl was an interesting part, but the misunderstanding between him and his childhood friend was not ideal for me. I've personally grown tired of the misunderstanding trope in manga; it's just not funny for me anymore, so I hope the story doesn't fall back on it too much.
Fanservice-wise, if they don't go all-out on the manga release, than the fanservice is necessary. Conversely, if it remains tame, by manga standards, then why do fanservice at all?
