Manga's title drop! That's it, roll the credits 🤣 but it is a miracle indeed, they're both named after Japanese food lol

Use the power and mysticism of name coincidences to get together already.

Now that's a title drop I didn't see coming.

So, in the Japanese naming system, his name is Shinji Naruto? Sorry, I'm confused about last name and first name differences in translation.

What a development. Last names. First names. Where does it all end?

Shoulda known he introduced his last name. Now the title is complete.

Also, expected but still sad that granny did not in fact just retire one day. Even Renge never got to meet her, but decided to open a restaurant on a whim. Sad but it also seems to fit her personality.

Something tells me that when she said "her place", and that her restaurant isn't ready, she literally means she sleeps in the restaurant. Now that we know she just zoomed into town during the closure, she probably doesn't have a proper house.

So, in the Japanese naming system, his name is Shinji Naruto

Japan uses family name first, and it's also not unusual to introduce yourself with your last name unless you are also with family. So it'd be refered to as Shinji Naruto.

There's a whole thing about names, titles, and intimacy I won't go into, but I'll just note that It tends to be intimate to call someone by their first name (that or you're calling a younger person by their first name). Ofc Renge probably doesn't care about stuff like that lol

(and ofc she had to end it on a ramen pun. As a reminder, "Renge" is a kind of curved spoon used for ramen and "Naruto" is a curly decour added into ramen).

It's easier to think of it as family name and given name. In most english speaking places names are given name / family name. In japan it is reversed. Strangers and people that arent good friends call each other by their family name.

Anyone else a little disappointed we didn't get to actually see the conversation on the way back? I feel cheated.

A title call and it's not the last chapter, the author got me on the first half.
