i like it.
MC being insufferable brat (while also being dencently powerful and competent), Carlos who obviously treats this whole situation as 12 year old making stories up and trying to act like an adult, their banter. It's fun, and somewhat fresh.
Also IMO nice spin on isekai - this being a game world and actually following game rules (someone triggered saving village event > kraken appears), but other than MC having dreams about his character as it appears in other world's playthroughs of the game, there's no other isekai elements, so we can avoid inventing baths/miso soup/soy sauce/waterwheels or MC suddenly losing his noble supremacist character (whole being actually quite fair to them).
I just hope it will stay like that and original game MC won't suddenly be a reincarnator.
This so much. This what I wish recent isekai to do instead of the usual level + stats or miso invention which are way overused and nobody really do anything creative with it.

Just traditional fantasy with very minor RPG element if the writer really want to is what I crave now..

The original Cthulhu was indeed driving a lot of barbaric people to madness and cruelty.

I wonder if this creature here was somehow influential (mentally) toward the methods and the eagerness of the local tax collectors.
Ohh, that should be interesting story to be told. If the author have this in mind :pepela:

The series itself is better than most isekais we've seen lately I feel, with the setting being believable and coherent (thank god) and the character writing enjoyable.

However, while the art is cute and the complex backgrounds are impressive, I feel like the art direction is just a little bit inconsistent with the mood of the story. The panel composition and simple backgrounds feel somewhat strange to me as well.

This isn't going to stop me from reading the story, though. I'm enjoying it a lot. Solid 7-8/10 for me.

I was wondering about the break in chapters. I guess people prefer them whole at a slower pace…

This series isn’t bad, but not quite good either. More like a “meh, good enough.”
