I don't remember, was this the series where the author depicted monsters eating a baby straight from the dying mother's womb and then memory-hole'd the whole thing like nothing happened just because the MC defeated a bigger monster?

Nope, he was not a monster, the arrow (just like the sword) only "damage" corrupted souls of humans, I'm pretty sure it will pass through him without doing any damage and hit (or atleast try to hit) the possessed Luca/Luka
