@Disguised22 Looks like you're right. My teacher told me this years ago, and I always thought it was fascinating how different cultures view things from the outside. But after checking it out myself. It seems voodoo dolls actually originated from Britain by practitioners of "magic" known as "cunning folk" with the belief that if you poke pens in a doll fashioned to look like a witch, you can break the witch's spell. Weird.
However, the concept of Voodoo isn't all that black magic and witchcraft like the movies say. And in the original religion, zombies don't go running around infecting people, they are actually the victims of someone controlling them, similar to a necromancer, called Bokor.
So it seems Voodoo dolls aren't even part of the Voodoo religion at all. It's just another of those media tricks.
