Hm, I got a notification from orcmaster, presumably a reply to my earlier comment, but it got moderated before I even got a chance to read it. Oh well. Judging by later comments, it’s probably just articles that feeds into confirmation bias.

@moel Fun Fact: Those dolls aren't actually used the way people think they are. Sick or injured people would make dolls of themselves and doctors would poke needles in the dolls as a way to keep record of the patients ailment. So it's kinda the opposite of what the movies tell us. They didn't put needles in the doll to cause harm, they put needles in the doll as a way to remember what part of the body was already hurt.

@digi-lib I'd like to read about that, but I can't find anything similar online. It seems like one of those random online "fun facts" that are made up on the spot.

it is kind of stupid to even think of using a stone as the 10% who die from chicken pox are the ones who are already weak in a way like body, immune system or have a genetic disorder that makes chicken pox more of a problem. If I remember right chicken pox are more deadly for adults, but kid may be more likely to die in less sterile environment and they live in the palace. Still its nice that francesco can heal

@liquidxlax It may not be Chicken Pox, you know. It's a different world entirely, so it stands to reason that their diseases may be different. Heck, even in our world there are plenty of diseases with similar presentations as this one.

@Disguised22 Looks like you're right. My teacher told me this years ago, and I always thought it was fascinating how different cultures view things from the outside. But after checking it out myself. It seems voodoo dolls actually originated from Britain by practitioners of "magic" known as "cunning folk" with the belief that if you poke pens in a doll fashioned to look like a witch, you can break the witch's spell. Weird.

However, the concept of Voodoo isn't all that black magic and witchcraft like the movies say. And in the original religion, zombies don't go running around infecting people, they are actually the victims of someone controlling them, similar to a necromancer, called Bokor.

So it seems Voodoo dolls aren't even part of the Voodoo religion at all. It's just another of those media tricks.

If he can use bestowal and healing magic, he could craft healing stones himself, especially now that they have the glass bottle. He deliberately chose to show healing magic to the royal couple.

Why would you cut off a dual-bloodline royalty from succession? That sounds like a dumb thing to do.

I think he would cut off a dual bloodline magic user from secession because you would question their loyalties. If they wanted, they could become royalty to this other country. Do you really want to give someone like that control, or the potential to control, your country? Especially if you are the secret of country like he's from?

Yeah, if he was to become the king and predge his loyalty to the other family, one of the families would just own both kingdoms. In the long term, the family swept would turn into vassals to the one in power, becoming mere tools to use their bloodline magic without being recognized anymore.

Also this just confirms the baby has both bloodlines.

90% is just statistic. Just because the illness has 10% mortality rate, doesn't mean the child has 90% chance of survival. Just because a previous statistics show that an illness has 90% survival rate, doesn't mean a new outbreak will have 90 out of 100 people survive. With proper care, 90% can be 100% and with utter neglect, 90% can be 0%. It doesn't mean anything. Ai-chan feels like this is just to manufacture a reason for drama.

i lost my faith in Aura ...
When she say for own child " He is not a person that would have an immidiate effect n our political situation were he to pass away". My heart is so hurt when i see "mother" capable of saying this word and i hope and wait for just act all of things, but when i see other thing "if you are sick i will use your importance higher than our child".None of any parents cant do this, even it is just imagine world not real i feel sick for being same being whit this kind of evils.
