With the existenceof given skills I am actually surprised what Aracne does don't happen more often.
In reality it would be obligatory for everyone to go through torture at some age to awaken ther given skill and a lot of BS would comeout of "skill quality"and what not.

Damn, the old lady Loran's backstory is some pretty heavy stuff. Man, this comedy manga has no right to make me feel this way. We did not see Noran's corpse, so as per the rule of thumb, she is not dead and we'll see her again at some point. Most likely under Arachne's control since she probably had a useful skill, but even Noran would be a withered old lady by this time.

Shachiku is cheesing his way through an encounter with monsters, but I can't help but see it as similar to doing specific boss mechanics in a dungeon fight (e.g. step in that circle or the party gets wiped by room-wide AoE). I'm more impressed at how the two girls followed his movements exactly and promptly leading to no time loss.
