We always knew that Yoshida came from a quite literally cut-throat background, but it's still impressive every time we see her throw away the pretense and go feral.
Also, I'd say RIP Chief, but somehow I think he neither can nor wants to rest in peace.

I like that both this series and Dungeon Meshi (rightfully) pointed out that teleportation magic is quite dangerous.

I like that both this series and Dungeon Meshi (rightfully) pointed out that teleportation magic is quite dangerous.
Both draw on very early TTRPGs and CRPGs. Dungeon Meshi was heavily inspired by the Wizardry dungeon crawler series where random teleports sending you into stone walls was the easiest way to permanently lose characters. This series is more a parody of JRPGs but still makes a number of references to classic TTRPGs including D&D, where wizardry got it's "teleporting into walls is instant death."
