It was completely unintentional. The FMC did not know that there was a dragon living there. That being said, she never came clean about it until later when his mind has already been made up that she tried to kill him.

That being said, why is that these guys are always so quick to banish/expel the friend but never delegate them to another part of the team? She definitely isn't evil but she is definitely not nice to the MC during his lowest moments.

As we saw in this chapter, she gets on him for being useless and getting in the way. It ultimately turns out that she would cry herself to sleep at night for her behavior towards the MC only to berate him again the next day. Rinse and repeat.

What hurts about this is that later, the FMC's clan starts recruiting people of the same rank the MC was when he was kicked out of the team and helps them train and get stronger.
Why did you remove the spoiler tag from the comment you're replying to? It defeats the whole purpose of the original poster's marking.

I didn't remove any tags when I replied. If you go back and look, the spoiler tag was added after the fact.

you might want to edit your reply to my comment and cover up my comment with spoiler tag, just in case lol

i completely agree on this part, there's a title that i read where the companion actually parted way nicely saying "you can't keep up higher rank dungeon anymore, and we're your friend and we don't want you to die" plot, and that title MC understand his companion meant, it was such a fresh read (shame that i forgot the title already since it seems the title is no longer translated currently)
The manga you forgot about perhaps is From levelling up heroes to leveling up nation?

You could read the official release on mangaup, or other websites.

I swear, one day we're gonna get one of these about a guy who has the skill [Oiled Up], and he is gonna be untouchable while simultaneously drowning all of his opponents in oil.

This doesn't really make sense. If they don't use the word 'weapon' since it's apparently alien to them, what do they call swords, bows, and etc. in general?

Pain-enducer? Damage-enactor? Hurty-hurts-a-lot? :thonk:

I see, after reading some comments in the first page, it make me understand why they don’t know "Weapon". But 2 years is fucking long enough to learn something, at least use a stick or anything as weapon to defend himself to figure out something.

The premise is stupid. He doesn't know how his ability works so instead of testing it everyone pretends he doesn't have one.

Really? you know what a sword master meant but not weapon master? In the span of 2 years you didn't consult any other knowledgeable person? No conducting test to determine what kind of skill/job it was?

So stupid. Much dumb.
Being betrayed by a selfish and uncaring bitch caused Haise some major issues.
