This premise is so damn interesting, I'm not much for isekai but it's nice the protag isn't from another world, and isn't super generic looking either. The setup up to now has been really good. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this got an anime.

The Protag is literally look like Hajime Nagumo from Arifureta what do you mean isn't super generic? It's literally the most generic main character in Isekai story.

Rather it feels like the interpretation of him being a villain that uses even demons is some weird negative representation of what was a genuinely good philosophy for the time. He was willing to use or put into positions of authority anyone or anything as long as they were effective/useful, traditions or background be damned. Hence, Hideyoshi or Yasuke, didn't matter if you were a peasant, slave, or whatever, if you could do the job he'd take you and that honestly makes him a better guy than the other warlords slaughtering for conquest.

He was called Demon Lord of Owari by his peers because he massacred several thousands of women and children at Mt.Hiei. Not because they didnt "like" his meritocratic philosophy. Nobunaga was ruthless to the extreme towards his "enemies" even by that times standard. Sure he could promote his own peasants to higher positions but he would slaughter other peasants for the simple reason of them having the "wrong" lord, something that by the way they had 0 control over.

This take is as stupid as calling Chingis Khan a great guy for his meritocratic philosophy.

Other warlords never genocided whole religous and/or ethnic settlements down to the last child. No matter what "good" deeds poeple like Nobunaga actually did will never shake off the Extreme ruthlessness, blood and death they actually gave the world. Sure Chingis Khan promoted a sort of religous freedom, but he also left piles of hundreds of thousands dead innocent children in his wake. Sure the Assyrians of Iron Age united a broken region after the bronze age collapsed, but they did so by burning whole cities with its inhabitens to the ground. And i dont need to get into silly mustash man now do i?

I tried to figure out what this meant and I found this on a MAL forum. The "strong emphasis" does fit.

"nanoja" = An exaggeration on how old people say "na no da," which is a clause added to the end of a sentence, essentially fulfilling the same role as "yo" does, in that it's a strong emphasis on what you've just said. (e.g. "Yuusuke wa yappari hannin na no da!" = "Yuusuke really was the culprit after all!")

This isn't really a good or creative story but above anything else I'm a contrarian so for now I'll say its great, f u haterz! Also I'm grateful to Translator-kun for keeping the "umu" and "nanoja" stuff unchanged, most official translations would remove or localize these little pieces of character flavor, which are part of what makes manga/anime feel special and unique.
