I'm not a fan of this change, Hyce was able to clear the dungeon solo which is whole thing I hate how they try to force these characters to change who they are now

hyce was supposed to meet and ally with a female goblin fighter in the labyrinth itself.
(aside from naming her chocolate, that woman was the best support character of the whole story in my opinion)
seems like the artists cut the best content of the light novel to promote another female pseudo harem member.

So manga is going complete original route but doesn't intend to fix the biggest downside of them all, Sasha herself. Even making it worse. I didn't think they could do worst than the LN but apparently, its possible. Shoe horning a character 70 chapters early just to play up the harem aspect (which is pointless since Sasha's only serious competition is herself) and making a big early plot point moot in the process (conquering the dungeon alone).

Never seen anyone who try to actively shit on their own story this hard.

He meets her and I think she harnesses him nonstop for a fight and he's like, "pfft you'll never beat me, if you can beat Sasha, then you'll be a worthy opponent" and that causes a ton of problems for Sasha. (They duel after the dungeon things)

And then he goes into the dungeon. And meets his "best friend" like you mentioned.
