...Is it just me... but... reading the manga in the beginning I already thought it was compelling enough of a story of someone that's seeking to atone? And that him dealing with the surviving family daughter of the man he killed now being an orphan but still wanting to be family with him as something that just on its own would be worth reading?

...I can't be the only one that thinks this manga is going off the rails and doing so at an increasingly sharp pace. At this rate, I wouldn't be shocked if the ghost of the fucking rapist father came into the picture and started haunting people.
