There's no way people would gossip "she is the mother of a murderer" when dude killed his sister's rapist. Is Japan okay with rapists like this?

I feel like there's such a culture gap here. Like yeah he'd be arrested and probably go to jail, but in the US he'd get out after like 3 years and people would ask him to run for office or something lol.

Once you completed the series and come back here this chapter reads different.

It can be said that both MC and his dead sister separately saved the rapists daughter from harm on two occasions 7 years ago, so it made perfect sense for the daughter to save MC when he was released.

Had this manga on watch for quite some time, held back till it's finished because I had a LOT missed out stories in the bucket list.

Revenge killing a sexual predator that intentionally hired himself in job with easy access to groom and abuse, that trash knew what it was doing. Most likely it wasn't his only target of abuse, he had a daughter, who knows if she wasn't abused either.

Taking life of someone is not easy, but that wasn't a normal life, that was a "an object" who fed on defenceless and weak before they could become something greater. Guilt for getting rid of it is not reasonable, he did world a favour.

Disposing off the parasite unfortunately got him 7 years sentence, but for planned murder isn't that high, still should get a pardon earlier. But that's Japan.

Shiika visiting Yuri grave instead of her father is a dead giveaway she doesn't despise Kazuma, instead mourn her piece of shit father's victim, perhaps asking for forgiveness.
Not sure she would forgive Kazuma, but having such parasite as a family member, wouldn't really make me vangeful if someone got rid of it, although seeing a brutal murder right in front of her must have been traumatising.

Thanks for scanlation!

Honestly i cant say anything about his guilt about what if i did listen her more carefully, what if i went pick her up that day, etc. And i cant say anything about his decision of killing the rapist but if i can say something its that im sad for the mom and shiika. Mom probably had no fault bc sister was hiding everything from her, she lost her daughter to the grave and her son to the jail + had to live with being a murderer's parent all those years alone (maybe not alone since shiika knows her etc.) still trying to act cheerful when the son finished his sentence and got off from jail. About shiika, she didnt know anything about her dad's that side normally and she got bullied for being a rapist's daughter and lost her only pillar on the house (just maybe she knew he is an abuser and maybe got abused by him bc she was praying to the victim not her father the rapist, i hope i wont see something like that bc ill be more mad about it. Its your own daughter wtf). Lets see if we will get redemption for both the mc and shiika at the end.

Just the first chapter and thing starts heavy AF. Welp. I has the markings of being a very good read though, so hopefully it delivers.

And yes. The POS teacher deserved to die as horribly as he did.

Not entirely sure if he should be considered a hero, he still murdered in revenge even if completely justified in his reasoning (and personally condoning the murder). But you're right that society should be more understanding of what happened and why. Guess it's those "how dare you disturb the peace, even if the world is better because of what you did" things many societies have.
Japs talk a lot about honor and respect while having no understanding of what those things really mean. There's a word for this specific type of self-righteousness but I can't remember. Moralism combined with ignorance. It's easy to be calm and forgiving when the knife is in somebody else's back.
