The rapist having a daughter is something that would have come up in trial (in the prosecution's case - i.e. the "victim" leaving behind orphaned children), and as a child care provider the child's family situation would be known as well. The mother definitely knows exactly who the girl is.

Seeing the girl's "reaction" about the relatives that took her in custody after his father was killed, it kinda suggested me that something happened, from the usual "bring in a relative's child just to treat her like shit" to the way worse "she experienced something like what happened to MC's sister".
And if it is the latter, I assume that the little girl went from hating MC for killing her father, to understanding why he did it (becoming a victim herself and sympathising with the sister) -> imagine the misery he put himself in to get revenge for the sister -> wanting to thank him for having stopped the father (although he killed him, something like an honest "he deserved to die") -> bringing his new life outside salvation by giving him a new sister (= reason) to live.

Too much for a little girl? Maybe, but who knows

What did the raw in page 23 for the mother's words? The sentences seem very awkward in English. Also in page 35, when Shiika says makes that your Yuri, is she referring to the promise? Because I think saying make me your Yuri makes more sense, but I haven't seen the raws. @heitaro

Shiika really doesn't want Kazuma to go. He's very suicidal, but she wants him to be a part of her family. She seems to already consider the mother her mother, so why not give it a try? Her mother sees Yuri in her as well. She really just wants to protect Shiika.

Now Kazuma has a new sister to protect. She needs protection from her bullies. And more! But why did she plan to meet Kazuma? Does she want to replace Yuri in his heart, to punish Kazuma? Or does she genuinely want to be his sister?

I'm on the wholesome but rough, atonement ending side. It wouldn't make sense logical for her to seek revenge, or at least, it doesn't feel logical in this manga.
On another note, it didn't need bullies, it really didn't... Especially when seeing the face of the leader after almost getting beat-up by an adult.
I still wonder how it'll go, but pain is gonna be on the menu.
