Good thing Will wasn't turned immortal or super long lived, just "stay young until death". Was fearing he accidentaly became a time abyss demigod due to killing the dragon.

The author has proven capable of writing up a <em>proper</em> dragon, and used all the Epic tropes in the right order and proportions to create something that impresses even hardened and jaded fantasy veterans.
And you think he'd ruin that with something silly and unneeded as that?

Thanks for the content drop. Honestly I really liked this arc. It felt epic and desvered but just slightly dodged the OP bullet. It's interesting because up to this point Will had engaged in fights he could win with ease. This is the first time he's really pushed himself (and his friends/allies really stepped up too) so a bit of a power up feels deserved. The question does remain of where conflict goes from here. The political city building aspect makes more sense than physical threats but we'll see. Let's just hope power scaling doesn't go full Dragon Ball Z/Super.
I figure it'll be controversial, but I really like the Stagnate reveal. Assuming she actually means it (truly loves Will), it'd be a really interesting relationship to follow of two people who love and respect each other, but have two opposing idealogies. I'd love them to spend a relationship loving each other, but constantly in a push and pull relationship of trying to bring the other to their side. Stagnate joked about turning his kids to her side, but that'd actually be a really interesting home life to write about. A lot of unconditional love and a lot of mom and dad trying to pull you over to their side. Rather what turns me off is the idea of Will's Patrón Goddess wanting to monopolize him or having feelings for him. That makes me more sense as staying platonic to me and one of mutual respect. Could even lead to great storylines of the two goddesses reconciling through Will now that we know they're sisters and actually rather close.
Regardless the bard tales following this are going to be amazing. No one that party let's it go unannounced that Will got a declaration of love confession from a goddess and his arch nemesis after slaying a Dragon and absorbing it's power. He wanted to share his adopted parents & grandparent name around the world and that's certainly gonna happen 😂.
Really really wish this series was far far more popular.

Personally still convinced it's a love square and Mr. Elf has actually been Ms. Elf this whole time. No way a guy would say its obvious Stagnate has been a female goddess this whole time.
I remember getting the shivers as I was reading the LN on this fight. I would say the art did justice for the story. So, bravo.
Still a bit miffed that the story just kind of over(?) after the conclusion of this arc with a bunch of sidestories of the casts (though those are good on their own). Would have liked to see where/how Will continues to fulfill his pledge to hiswaifu goddess.
Though I can understand that after writing this, it would be probably be difficult to make a follow-up arc that retains the feel (e.g., slaying stronger and stronger being just cheapens the story).
