It did shows that this MC is different than the norm Isekai MC but still that was dumb.

OH FUCK, did not see that coming. I was expecting her to somehow have hidden herself in his luggage, you know, the usual development.

I thought this was the likely conclusion too.

on another note:
They once mentioned that magic was a special trait of the village.
But this chapter they also stated that the bond of the couple greatly affects the magic potential of the offspring.
This suggests that magic is somehow dependent on blood and bonds of the parents.
So inbreeding to create strong magic bloodline, and close relatives make strong bonds due to time spent together.

If the condition to marry siblings is as common practice in the village as in his clan. Then they would have run into inbreeding problems generations ago and the "tradition" would have been phased out quickly.

My conclusion is that inbreeding doesn't cause genetic problems in this world cus the author made it that way. And it has yet to be explained why genetic problems haven't shown up.

If genetic diseases are not a thing in this world somehow then their is no physical reason not to marry his sister. The MC was against the marriage and acted out of fear and desperation. He could have outright declared his objection to the marriage, but was afraid to hurt his sister and the obstinate of his parents (worst case was a shotgun wedding). So he ran. Not the smartest move but a more common move than ppl want to believe.

Most ppl would rather run from their problems and make up excuses to support it, then to face it head on and deal with the possible risks of failure.
