NGL, as someone who's been a fan of Sasha for 10+ years, and has even met Haguhagu IRL once (Though my favorite work of his is the Bosako SFW artwork series; I love Bosako 1 so much I even have an extra STILL sealed copy), the reactions to these chapters have been super entertaining.

And that's after I started warning people over a year ago and was one of the first to post about what happened in Vol. 3, with others eventually adding warnings to almost every chapter thread. I still never thought Sasha would get such a strong reaction from the Western fandom.

Wow, it's cool you actually met an author IRL.

It's my dream to meet Gosho( the author of Detective Conan) and get his autograph on one of his works.

Volume releases usually have some fixes or minor changes, but it sounds weird that they removed something. Do you have the magazine pages of what's missing?
I don't. Those pages should be on the official website still though. I'd have to check. Other things have changed slightly, like chapter page numbers, so I'm assuming they edited things down a bit for the volume release. I'm pretty sure originally Sasha and MC had another intimate moment after the reveal in which she almost kissed him as he was sleeping but got shy and stopped herself. I could be misremembering.

Teenagers watching porn is part and parcel with adolescence. Teenagers being in sexually abusive relationships with older men 110% is not
Collecting, critiquing, and creating porn is not a typical adolescence. Everyone who does that is a degenerate. Myself included.
That said, kids consuming porn, while unfortunately normalised, is also degenerate. The central conceit of this has always been sexual degeneracy for laughs and playing with that against the wholesome romantic side.
Agreed to the second part, however; though Haguhagu is definitely playing with expectations, so whether it counts as abuse outside of the statutory definition is ambiguous.

I've seen quite a few of these cases over the years, and it's mostly always the same kind of girls. They act older than they are, and think they're more mature than they are. Usually they're fairly vulnerable and have issues at home. Usually drinking at a low age or using other drugs, which the older guys are eager to help them out with, not seldomly as payment for having sex with them. And they refuse to acknowledge that they're being exploited and that the guys exploiting them are pedophiles. And not seldomly they have other destructive behavior too.
It's sad but it is what it is.

They are kids consuming porn. The central premise of this is degenerate. Adding offscreen sexual activity did not suddenly make this degenerate, it was from the start.
Never said this sudden revelation suddenly makes it degenerate but just saying that doesn't really make it wholesome either is my point. There was never any line the series walked in terms of wholesomeness and degeneracy is what I've been explaining. And this chapter especially doesn't do that either.

Idk that sounds a bit old fashioned in terms of thinking. Creating porn can be doujins like the protag but it can something as innocuous as writing a fanfiction of your favorite characters. It's still degenerate I agree but in this day and age I see it as just growing up and going through puberty as you consume media and sexualizing the media you consume as you grow up.

Getting an autograph from Gosho would be so coooool!
I still remember a Redditor who got one during a Conan Q&A session where he signed for 30 people chosen through a raffle.

In my case, I've met many of my favorites while in Japan.
It's surprisingly easy if you attend major anime-manga events or smaller individual events like meet-and-greets or Fan-Autograph-Sessions.

And for hentai artists who’ve gone mainstream, it’s even easier.
At events like Comiket or Comitia, visiting their booths after the rush or once they've sold out often lets you interact with them, as many also hold signing sessions, which is how I got signed copies of Senko-san and a few others. (That said, not all do this, so it’s always important to be respectful.)

Becaus even if they’re being exploited they can justify it as them being the ones in control of the situation, something they typically lack in their day to day lives

I totally disagree, the main draw of this is how cute and wholesome it can be while also being playfully degenerate. The problem seems to be that we have a revelation that isn't playful, rather it is unambiguous, but it still leads to the blossoming of love between two pubescent kids. The pain Fujiwara is going through is a plot device to allow him to change his relationship with Sasha; he is starting to realise that his feelings for her are of a different sort. The sort that feels jealousy, possessiveness, concern for her welfare and a desire to protect. He's in love but he doesn't know it yet. How is that not adorably wholesome?

She is so broken that I want to hug her and tell her the lie that everything will be fine.

Mom and dad married each other twice then divorced twice.
Dad is in Russia so no father figure.
Mom is out with her boyfriend most the time so no parent figure at home.
Uncle groomed her.
Multiple guys rape an elementary school girl regularly and convince her that is normal.

And Mangadex readers call her a slut, whore, and cumdump.
Her value system regarding sex and relationships has been destroyed by everyone except her schoolmates.

I'm not going to stop reading because it's a fun story despite the darkness underneath.

I understand if people who only watch wholesome stuff where caught off guard by this. But really, by now you have no more excuses if you are still reading this.

You are in this abyss with the rest of us demons now, do not try to deny it.

Loving someone because you love them as a person and looking past their past and their baggage is kind of wholesome.
The value of a person isn't who they've slept with or what they've done. If you're unable to look beyond them as an object like this, do you truly love them?

Still I think that girls (or people in general I guess) that looks at sex and love as two completely different things are kind of a red flag. You're somewhat going to struggle ever getting an emotional connection and closeness with them because they treat intimacy and love as two different things. While most people would consider love and intimacy to go hand in hand. I think this is the main reason why casual sex works for some people and not for others. It's kind of hard to be intimate with someone who acts like a prostitute when you have sex to put it in extreme.

alright im sensing this general audience may be blowing this whole thing outta proportion. if we consider the author "combining timelines" or whatever nonsense the author came up with, i STILL disagree that Sasha's character or personality has been "retconned" or whatnot... it's not as if Sasha suddenly 180'd and became a lying cheating whore to Fujiwara... they not even dating lol.

I think the disappointment with the audience stems from the perception of Sasha presenting as an "inexperienced but still curious" girl, who may be a virgin but wants to learn about sex from someone knowledgeable, hence her interactions with Fujiwara.

When the majority of readers found out that she in fact was NOT inexperienced, then suddenly all bets are off and she will become a gold digging sex-crazy maniac who will lock Fujiwara in the Hypersolitude Titty Chamber for a thousand years and betray him lol.

it's not that serious. Y'all act entitled and project yourselves onto Fujiwara so hard that u guys feel betrayed about ANY girl who wasn't a virgin when Fujiwara HIMSELF still views Sasha as his disciple who wants to protect her.
