I stopped reading a long time ago, but I do still see it show up in the romance sections. The rating keeps going down (6.02), and the comments keep going up. It's just really funny to think about, as it's an endless cycle, as more and more people discover the manga, they go here to discuss and comment.

I've had my share of uncomfortable content, from creepy lolicon fanservice stuffed into something greater(Made in Abyss and Monogatari being the more blatant examples with a decent plot, I think) to gross doujinshi of all kinds.

But this shit made my stomach turn. Not because of the porn premise itself; I've seen way worse than that. But the way it's delivered. I went in blind, didn't check the author at all, and the twist in the 30s was like a punch in the gut.

This isn't like, lolicon content, it's straight up a child propagating sexual abuse onto another semi-innocent child whose guardians(?) are too lax, while keeping a sunny disposition and in-your-face cucking them. And with the way the beginning is written makes the suspension of disbelief so subtle, to me at least, that I thought "nah, no way the author is going to pull this." And he does in the worst way possible, I think.

I am legitimately impressed at this for managing to destabilize me after so many years of internet and japanese content.

Horrifying.

I also started to feel like nothing could surprise me in manga anymore, I thought I had read the most degenerate trash that exists, but somehow this manga is the closest a story has gotten to "The cuck was actually you, the reader, all along!" when you hit chapters 30-33. I want to hate Hagu for it, but I kinda think it's disturbingly genius, in a schizo, mentally ill way.

Not helped by going down the rabbit hole and finding out that Hagu tweets about wanting to fuck his own character basically EVERY.SINGLE.DAY.

The comments are the sole reason I still haven't blocked the TL group, haven't bothered reading the last few chapters. The number of comments on the chapter threads seems to be decreasing too though unfortunately, so I guess more people are abandoning this sinking ship.

The spikes are actually more related to when the author releases raws of controversial chapters, ironically more people seem to be interested in future chapters than the current ones.

Ahh, that makes sense, I guess there'll be an influx of comments again when 73 drops. On a side note, it's actually kinda fun trying to figure out what actually happened in a chapter without reading it, just from what people are saying in the comments.

I'm gonna keep reading and assume it'll turn out like some anti-NTR and the boy will take exclusive claim of her, if the author really wants to write a happy ending like he said and hoping he doesn't consider an open relationship to be one.

And to anyone uncomfortable, I get it. Sasha's being written as positively as possible and the art style sometimes does get more uncanny than even normal loli stuff. At least it's just her and there are normal acting-their-age characters like the tomboy. I hope Hagu isn't caught commenting on IRL junior idol gravure like Dorontabi.

The problem is that on top of MD's alternate rating system (The actual average is at 5.77 right now), a ton of 10 star ratings came in way before the Chapter 30 retcon. The series' score is being inflated by the early bait and switch.

Ever since the 15th it's gotten the following reviews:

10: 35
9: 3
8: 13
7: 12
6: 6
5: 7
4: 8
3: 5
2: 10
1: 66

Which comes in to an actual score of 4.66. That's only moderately better than Gal Cleaning on MAL, on par with Minasama no Omocha, and rated worse than whatever the hell this is supposed to be.

No word on how many of those 10 star reviews are people who rated it highly early on, didn't read the comments, and stopped before Chapter 30.
