This was my take away as well. Miri accepted the job, and ended up being reincarnated as Ichinosuke's little sister. Fast forward to his transmigration, he is given two passive abilities to expedite his leveling speed. The Jobless class facilitates learning, the creation of a new world, the subordination of a new pantheon, and the transportation of beings to and from Azaworld.

Now if only the "bad guys" would just wait a bit, Ichinojou could gain enough power to finish the creation of Jouworld and the can start moving over those he wants to save from AzaWorld's fated destruction.

It does feel that way. However with how they were talking about the role of goddesses and an unknown god I wonder if perhaps Metias' real goal may have always been to create a god for Azaworld/Jouworld and not a replacement for herself.

For example: Page 23 says that Goddesses are part of the world so they can't defy Metias's prophecies, this should apply to Metias herself. Maybe a god is therefore fundamentally not part of the world and therefore can defy her prophecies.

There is also a curiosity on Page 27 that Metias delegated power to 'the goddesses' to facilitate and manage the Lost Ones. Which implies Metias may have been the original goddess of a world without a god.

In short we could surmise that the whole plot is an attempt by Metias to get herself a man. Which seems about right for this series honestly.

This lore dump made me think that the Goddesses were sacrificial offerings for Ichinojousuke. Something like multidimensional strategy by the Goddess of Fate who knew that Miri wouldn't take up her place.

And I guess my question is whether Metias planned for Ichino to get Miri's power from the get go and it was "accidentally" usurped, or if Miri gave her power to Ichino on purpose. We know she has a major brother complex and with foresight...

It's also super suspicious now that Marina and Ichino both got spirited away and were near Miri. If you're only given coordinates and Miri was hidden, was she meant to be nabbed each time?
