Err I’m pretty sure it’s the publisher that splits it not the mangaka. When it gets put into a tankobon all of these chapter parts will be made whole. It’s split like this so people can keep reading the series without having to wait for a whole chapter as it can take awhile for a tankobon to come out.

Personally, I don't think any manga fight should last more than 2 full chapters, and whoever's decision to split the chapters (wether or not it allows people to read sooner) has made this single fight feel like it's dragging on far too long. I mean, for readers on this platform, it's taken 5 months to get to the point that the lackey pulled a Frieza. It makes me fear that the actual fight with the Pope is going to take like 2 years.
