It's not often that I see the protagonist himself becomes the damsel-in-distress who needs saving, so that's mildly interesting... but my hatred for that trope beats the curiosity I have for this situation.
I like that everyone he's helped is mobilizing to help find him, but on the other hand him getting amnesia also makes this situation far worse than I wanted it to become. Yes, it's infuriating.
