No crossbows in Japan? Surprised. China is next door and they more or less invented it.

@AbuHajaar They are still separate by the ocean and crossing it at that time period is no easy task along with China's policy at that time didn't allow sharing their knowledge with outsiders and Japan's own policy of preserving their culture and refusing anything foreign, in fact, Nobunaga was one of the first people had an opened mind when it came to foreign things and people at that time period called him a fool and crazy for that .
My country is next to China but in the past, things like embroidery techniques and maize were forbidden to share so some of my country's men had to secretly learn and took them. And if you research, Japanese weapons are really different from Chinese weapons including the bow. Japanese bow called "yumi" is really different from western bow and Chinese's bow in both appearance and the way to shoot.

@miyako19 Crossbows were around in large numbers as early as warring states period (400 BC), and were the staple of the Han dynasty (25 AD). They didn't stop using crossbows until firearms came around.
I can understand the ocean gap preventing it but the time gap feels too massive.

For those questioning the crossbow, supposedly they actually weren’t popular. https://history.stackexchange.com/questions/22806/were-crossbows-used-by-the-japanese. It’s not that they didn’t know of them but it’s because Japan is a lot more mountainous and long bows were easier to carry and maintain when climbing.

Very nice. Especially the seeds, those must have been hundreds of years ahead of their time.

There's a lot of potential Wittmanns, but I somehow get the feeling that this wolf is named after a certain SS officer. Ach, Japan. Never change.

She’s badass. A modern Japanese girl taught by a old fashion grandpa the ways of a hunter. She has been taught her grandpa ideals which would make her stand up fearlessly to Oda Nobunaga.

She shouldn’t feel bad if she’s changing history, it could be a Parallel world for all we know and she gots to survive.

finally these assholes show some respect, seriously if she doesn't succeed your entire village will be exterminated so you would think they would be all over wanting to help her in any way they can since chapter 1 but nope took until now for them to even acknowledge her skills and knowledge.
