So is he gonna start implementing modern policies mixed in with his own? Is japan gonna be living in the 21st century while the rest of the world is in the 16th century?

Just once. I want a 'good' Nobunaga to win the war. At the very least, this one could be considered 'good'.

History paint these people as evil tyrants yet the only thing really evil about them is that they are 'odd' people that lost the war while 'hypocrites' get the benefit of being heroes.

@RolandMayfield it was talking about how she stood up to Oda when he angry and still talked about the unification of Kyo, because she was drunk.

Hah! I love that she wound up spilling the truth! Too often this kind of manga will twist in on it's self justifying keeping the protagonist's Whatever secret... it feels very refreshing to me that instead he's just. Yeah that sounds insane but also Sure, you're too useful to lose.

With the granting of the 500 troops, now Shizuko is effectively a general (taisho). In the sengoku era, a sonae consist of between 300 to 800 men and is similar to the modern version of military 'company'. Ever played Nobunaga's Ambition? That mixed military unit consisting of pikemen, archers, cavalry and musketmen that you get if you play as a retainer is exactly what she has now! Nobunaga says it's her own private army for her own protection, but he never said she can't bring them to war.

Just offering further trivia for those who are hyped about her going to battle one day. She will also have her own retainers, but let's leave that explanation when the chapter arrives.

@friendly Nani? Almost every isekai have the MC going on about keeping his secret, only to try and vomit everything out at every opportunity.

I wish more of the novel is translated... sad...

Her face is a bit like a mother watching her child growing.

I don't think that giver her so many soldiers is a good idea.
Don't this increases the changes of a spy infiltrating? You can't really be sure if everyone is trustworthy when there's so many.

If Amaterasu is Japan'sfirst and oldest hikkineet then Nobunaga is the the the first westaboo.
It's always somehow fun to see how media will be showing this side of him.

Well, if any of the great tyrants of history won, they'd also demonize the losers. It's History 101. Of course, with enough time, you can get to see the actual achievements without too much prejudice, like in Alexander the Great case.
Even with historical Nobunaga, despite all, there's a reason he's thought of as a Demon King, not just a Tyrant.
