it's a caching issue to do with how certain web browsers store info; if you view a chapter in-browser and it doesn't display any pages, then even if that chapter updates the browser will store the info from the original upload and the chapter still won't display any pages. to fix the issue, just clear your cache for mangadex if a chapter isn't loading properly and you should be able to read it just fine after that.
