For what I can tell in most works the rule seems to boil down to:

• Convenient censorship of genitalia and sexual acts (with objects, light rays, partial out of frame, etc.) --> Erotica
• Censorship with white blobs, black bars, mosaic, etc of otherwise explicit genitalia or sexual acts --> Pornographic

So this one is tagged correctly, at least in my opinion.

Well, there are more non-H mainnstream manga published with the "saber light" that aren't tagged 18+, thisand this for example and many other, but in the end is not a big deal, i have the 18+ filter off, so i leave the tag thing to the scanlator, he decide since he is the one who is working on it.

Does Ivelle get better really quickly? I dropped the series early because I thought the whole story was just being horny over how abused she was, and jokes about the protag being a wuss. If one or the other has quickly noticeable improvement, I think it would be worth checking out again.

This story seems to being going in the "I can fix her/give her a happy life" direction, which I enjoy more.

The manga has moved past her being broken and has developed a proper plot with Ivelle and the Hero in a proper relationship.
