That's a really powerful but very limited buff. But it's so sudden I feel that the author just added this "plot device" so that MC had a reason for being able to survive and heal from that fatal wound.

more like it's the power of the bangles and he is just as useless as we always thought.

Err I’m not going to lie, that was kinda disappointing. Sure being essentially immortal on every level before 30 is great and all but is that really it? I don’t even get the reason why it was kept a secret. Does it maybe come with a cost of making him weaker then he would normally be? Maybe it’s like the Mysterious Substance X and what it does.

But why does it work that way? Think about it: is the source of the bangles' protection at a fixed location?
If the source could be moved, they'd work at lower floors, wouldn't they?
