I'm not very good at counter arguing but about him having a warped inferiority complex isn't warranted because it was justified through his blessing as the Guide. He's stuck as an already high level character with no more room for improvement. While everyone else is levelling up and getting powerful, he's been stuck at where he was ever since their journey started and he figures he'll slow everyone down because everyone will have to protect him. His only role in the party was to protect everyone till they were a high enough level and supplemented his lack of blessing with menial tasks and formations but then gets thrown away; he's literally a jeigan character from a Japanese rpg.

Not to mention no one really realized how important he was to the party till Gideon left judging by what Danan said

Well that was quite satisfying. The Hero's Party actually liked Gideon quite a lot. It's mostly just the thoroughly incompetent bastard sage's fault.

The Hero is...kinda ominous though. I guess she's losing her way without a guide?

Anyway, here's hoping we see them come find Red sometime soon.

saying and thinking is way easier than actually doing something like that, specially if that person has confidence problems like the mc, is not just fantasy, those kind of problems exist in real life being afraid of what the others might think of you, you need to socialise more dude, if you are like that with your friends, then you are blessed with good friends but that doesn't mean everyone is going to be like that.

and to answer your question 'Whenever someone has issues with a series why is it the first thing they get told is stop reading it?' let me answer with another question instead "why would you read something you dont like?" It's easy to answer, if you still dont know then more than a straightforward person you are just hardheaded.

I usually dont comment over stuff like this, but I dont like when people start whining over a fantasy story that its only purpose is to entertain.

To anyone wondering why Gideon so easily accepted leaving the Hero Party even though he is a siscon:

His divine protection - The Guide is meant to DIE once their initial level advantage is overcome by the Hero/their party. His leaving crushed his death flag, and sets the path of the 1st major story arc.

The manga won't get there for a while though.

And fair enough I do understand the MC's thought process. I still think leaving a party who you where the guide for with your sister as well without saying anything quite stupid, but I guess I should stop and wait for more chapters that explain the backstory to a slow-life manga.

@Jachinz You're right about that why would he not say a word to his sister, he saw them both together, he probably thought the mage talked to her sister before speaking to him, can't say for sure.

I'm going to pick up the wn and read more about it, some already gave the reasons but I need to read it myself.

One of the animes I loved to watch when was I younger was BLEACH. I gained two friends, and surprisingly, a closer relationship with my grandma. With one of those friends moving away, and my grandmother passing away on top of that, of course I was going to finish it. Despite my growing distaste for the story, I had spent to many good times with good people to not see it too its end. Plus, I had fallen in love with all its characters XD.

You don't have to be a Hard-headed person to have a answer that question, but you do have to be Hard-headed person to ask it....
All in all, this is a pretty stupid question....

Also, Jachinz DID NOT deserve that condescending comment you left him. Seriously, how did you assume he was a hard-headed, straightforward person, who needs to socialize more based on a couple of sentences?
