Agreed, I hated these so called "wise sage" character who couldn't do some basic logical thinking. These kind of trope can be good if it was smartly written, and unfortunately this manga choose the easy and boring way to do it.

My issue specifically is that it simply doesn't seem feasible that a baby biologically could be capable of withstanding the complex thoughts and machinations of the sage. A baby's brain simply isn't developed enough to sustain it. Nor are the vocal muscles trained enough for the sage to just talk. And... well many more biological limitations. The counterpart irl with Jesus is considered a miracle lol. But then again the magic system hasn't been explained so maybe it's something even a baby can use which would overturn my arguments
