Yeah, I'm really worried for Gil. His knowledge is just too valuable. In he joins Lemuria, he'll give them a great strategic advantage. So he'll probably die. In the worst case scenario, Dhala and the traitors will lose the battle but Velanto will eat his mind, making Dhala's threat bigger than ever.
Seriously, villains like Velanto are the worst. Not only do they kill you, but your death makes them even more overpowered.

@Misticsan I'm with you in that Gil is probably going to die because his knowledge would be too valuable to Lemuria, but that's actually why I think that there's no way that Velanto will get his hands on Gil; Dhala already has pretty much every advantage in this war (after all, that we've seen, Kai is the only one that can reliably counter them without casualties), so adding Gil's knowledge on top of that would, I feel, tip the scales too far in their favor.

Gil is bro tier, got a waifu, can actually outshine MC as he is an actual engineer with very valuable knowledge while our MC just learned bits of useful but not major tech like radio communication...

My mistake! 😅 Yes, I was thinking of Clark. If it's Gil and her Yuki-onna wife, I'm pretty confident they'll survive the ordeal. Since the first time he was introduced, he's had this "main character" vibe around him.
I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes the (friendly) Rival to Kai. He has philosophical differences, he's the brawn to Kai's brains, and has a stable relationship with her partner, while Kai is surrounded by a harem (and like every harem hero, he'll be too dense or too scared to make things clear from the get go).

@Acolytus Well not all scientist will simply cooperate when they understand that their knowledge would be used to massacre people, this Velanto guy shorten some of the undesirable processes like having a conscience and morals that a hegemonic country like Dhala would think of as weakness, this guy is a literal brain-eating garbage sadist, he wants technology to kill people he is Dhala's trump card.
I understand your point but this is a fantasy setting and in my opinion, he being their leading "mind" in research is in reality pretty believable, i mean he is only the head scientist of Dhala it isn't like he is the only responsible for advancements in the world as a whole, and if him being the center of Dhala's knowledge bites them in their balls to me is fine more than fine truth be told when he dies it will be glorious.
