Well well well... it seems I underestimated the "young meat".

That is on me admittedly, but in retrospect... it was a 50-50 if Jusui was really so innocent as she acted.

And with a little more retrospect, if her lineage has such "pedigree", it isn't exactly strange she may know a few tricks most people have forgotten or even know exist.

One way or another, things took a turn again, now Kai knows about the impending war in Hunag Lia, and with this revelation about Jusui means that the sides of this succession become a little more complicated because it means the mother empress may not be as in control as I thought.

And obviously... there is this maid that so "conveniently" helped Sakura and had such martial abilities, but I presume I should chalk that up to everyone in these eastern countries knowing martial arts(< this is sarcasm).

There is very little chance that Huang Lia won't be the center of a new war.

The equilibrium may already be too nudged to the start of this war, there would need to be a very big "weight" to discourage the other sides from starting this conflict, and just putting one of the kids on the throne will not be enough.

Doronea looks so cute on the cover of volume 18, she wears the heck of those overalls... and fills it to capacity too.

Hear me out guys; what if the curse didn't rebound onto the actual culprit, but onto someone else as a counter curse? I feel like that might be the case, where the actual culprit played some 4D chess in order to blame someone else as a Plan B in case Plan A failed. These crazy notChinese royals seem like they'd have plans ready just in case, unlike everyone else who just crumples when their initial plan fails.

Did Sakura trust this girl before this? Seems like she's outing herself as being able to read dragon script to someone outside of her circle, which seems like a dangerous idea.
That merchant's beard, is that really the real
Major Grey? Did he somehow survive, or get revived somehow? I checked chapter 3 again. We actually didn't see Major Grey died. They were separated at his dying moment.
at the very least, this guy has a mustache in his beard + it's fuller in general than Gray's. It's always possible it's secretly Gray + he just grew it out more, but if we're just going by beard-matching I'd say it doesn't match.

I'm gonna flip if he somehow make it back alive. But then.....I'm not surprised either if he really make a come back. He probably looking for his wife in Huang Lia.

The Huang Lia arc is shaping up to be the Wano Arc I feel like. Ending in a humongous battle/war, and is gonna set up the final arc. If so, I’m very excited.

My bet's on this.
If someone in not!china can make a corpse move, then there's definitely someone that maybe able to revive the dead. Maybe its Sakura's sister Grey's official wife, whom is still missing.

Sakura's sister being in Huang Lia is most likely a farce. It was the bait to lure Sakura here, because 'someone' knew she can read the dragonscript. Otherwise it would make more sense for Kasha to reach out to major Grey, a person with influence and resources, than to another princess without kingdom.

IMHO, this looks like another farce. While she, based on her lineage... heck, her clan may even have been the designated guardians/keepers of these tombs, might know stuff, the whole 'undead-monster-attacking-people-at-random' is sus from the very beginning. Also, if she was the one dabbling in the necromancy, then who summoned the Emperor? His intervention was counterproductive for her faction and I highly doubt it was just accident.

The eunuch, most likely in cahoots with those notgermans from the Koenig.
