It seems useless to remind but isekai means different world, the first isekai was a non-Japanese novel about a man of the army who was extremely strong and after entering a cave he came out to Mars (not actual Mars, with life, oxygen and stuff). Since he was already strong in Earth-like terms, in Mars with aproximately a fourth of Earth gravity the people from there considered him a super-human. And then it was "Japanising Beam!" and we got all that non-sensical trash (except for few series).
Edit: use the same logic and you have Dragon Ball, with the gravity training chamber or Kaito's planet.
Is this Burroughs's John Carter of Mars? If so, I'd argue that Mark Twain's A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court should get the nod here - it would predate the first Carter book by 22 years.

Yes, that's exactly the one I was referring to. About the one of Mark Twain, I need to read it first, but as far as I read the synopsis this one is time travel (though done in a really humoristically way).

Sort of. Given it's set in Arthurian England rather than 'real' pre-Norman medieval England, I suspect a good case could be made either way.

what even is juneteenth ?
US History/Constitution lesson.

During the Civil War, President Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation (EP) in September 1862, which took effect at the start of 1863. It ended slavery in the states which had rebelled against the federal government (the Confederacy). Juneteenth is the celebration of the EP being proclaimed in the last pocket of rebellion to be subdued in Texas on June 19th, 1865.

Notably, the EP did not end slavery in states which had remained loyal to the federal government (the Union). By the end of the war in May 1865, most Union states which weren't already free at the start of the war had abolished slavery voluntarily through their state legislatures, but in both Delaware and Kentucky, slavery was still legal until the 13th Amendment to the US Constitution was ratified and proclaimed on December 18th, 1865.

So the upshot is that if someone tells you Juneteenth is a celebration of the end of slavery in the US, they're playing fast and loose with the details.

Yeah, but all that means is the mail doesn't run and federal offices are closed. It's kind of in the same group as Columbus Day, Washington's Birthday, MLK Jr. Day, and Veterans' Day - some places close, and some don't.

Downloaded a new puzzle mobage after a while and realized puzzle mobages are the worst kind of gacha game in terms of powercreep cuz they had to keep making new characters worth the pull
(I played Puyo Quest for years at one point so I can say this with confidence, but Puzzle & Dragons might had it even worse or so I heard)

Also to make it worse they usually get better and more often collabs compared to even more globally mainstream mobages (again, those two games)
