That’s why people are being harsh, we’re running out of time and no one wants the development to be rushed. More so than it is already is with the lighting fast “romance” this series has. Even at this point we barely really know anything about a majority of the cast, the info we have on hand is very surface level. Here’s to hoping the time is taken to atleast try to flesh out Arata himself 😭

If he were actually sane I feel like he'd actually tell them all to back off while he sorts his shit out without them coming onto him like this one after the other.

Maybe that's just me - but whatever he tries to do his "precious family" is going to fall apart. He picks one, the rest get mad and leave. He picks none of them, the whole family falls apart. He picks all of them, this becomes dumb wish-fulfillment slop nonsense that becomes somehow more unrealistic than it already is. (Because of course five quite-different girls would all just so happen to fall for their same adopted brother and not.....any of the other boys in their respective lives. C'mon, now.)

He won't do anything but pull that same Kazuya-adjacent expression though while grunting weird surprise-noises and getting flustered while the Five increasingly go on the offensive to one-up each other, though, so I guess I'm not really expecting anything spectacular even from this.

I don't think I said the word 'stop'. But he needs to have an actual dialogue with them instead of running away each time.

He did finally face his youngest sister, but he really needs to confront them all together and be clear about how he's struggling with all of the pressure being put on him by each of them. He sorta did that here with Ouka, but clearly not enough to make her stand down.

None of them really seem to be considering his side of things, from what I can remember (maybe Banri could be argued), and I get that's part of what spurs the tension of the narrative, but Arata does himself no favors not being more proactive, vocal, or direct about it.

he def needs to confront the others but its not his fault Ouka isnt listening. like you said, they are not considering his side at all and only charging forward with their feelings with no regard for what Arata wants. I'm guessing he'll have to be really direct this next chapter in response to Ouka's blunt request.
