I do not get why so many people in these comments are saying this is peak. Like don't get me wrong this is really well made and good. Love when they just ignore the tropes, so many manga do "accidentally cut finger" -> "other person instantly licks it up for no reason", so its refreshing to see Sendai just say no that doesn't actually help. But also she's wrong, blood does taste good.

As a novel enjoyer, I do kinda agree that the series is a bit overrated, but also, I feel like the main things I like about the novel haven't really shown up yet, and aren't really connected to the events of the plot, which would make them difficult to pick up just from reading spoilers.

Unfortunately, they only get there after the highschool timeline, a while into the college timeline.

This story is incredibly slow, but the psychological damage mess is worth it.

Although I was at around chp350 of the mlt and I don't remember whether miyagi has finally accepted the label of friends or roomates so I lost my mind and had to take a break...

Never said this series was speedy, I made a comparison between this and Adachi and Shimamura...

Granted I haven't read the light novel version.
