Never said this series was speedy, I made a comparison between this and Adachi and Shimamura...

Granted I haven't read the light novel version.
Adachi and Shimamura is much speedier than this is. Like, it's easy to mistake this as speedier because they immediately get to some sort of physical relationship, but that isn't actual progress on their romantic relationship.

I do like this manga but I would wish that the girl would stop thinking that she will have a future boyfriend, I mean at this point its set in stone right? Unless these two break up they are pretty much dating and I dont think a guy would be very happy or anything if they found out they do this kind of stuff while hes dating her so yeah, I wish these lesbians would one day come to terms with what they are and accept that they do actually like their own gender (and each other) instead of avoiding the matter by trying to get more and more boys in their life.
The one bit about a boyfriend was Sendai's friend bitching, not Sendai. I'd have to double check the manga chapters, but from what I remember in the books

It's subtle but constant that even though Sendai initially claims not to be into girls, she also lowkey refuses to pretend to be into guys. She's always very direct about not being interested in having a boyfriend, even when pretending to want one or having one would make her life easier with her friends.

Its gonna get even heavier from now on ... in more ways than one.

I cant get enough of them, like I said in my ch1 comment, best yuri story period, and we are not even at the good part yet. :02:
Miyagi sees gal and wants to ruin her (but not really), Sendai sees a girlfailure and starts cooking (enters her waifu mode), you love to see it.

Together they can both be their true selves, not gonna be honest with each other though, naturally

At this rate (some spoilers about their progress) we are gonna get to them kissing at around chapter 12, so about in 6 months :korone: , then comes their kissing era, replacing the licking era, the biting though ... the biting never goes away really lol, its on and off :smugchisato:

Their first sex probably at around chapter 60, together yuri fans around the globe can make it happen, I believe :hearts::win: :hearts:

I know this stuff because I keep a doc on what happens in what chapter, only "book" ever that was worth it, great for rereads

they actualy have their first sex in part 142, then in ch 169,188,229,270(best chapter),320. Yes, I've been keeping close count lol.

Glad to see this back! Just re-read the 103 chapters of the good WN translation recently due to the long manga serialization break. Honestly, this blood-sucking part is not my favorite as it doesn't come across as sexy at all - should have smashed a swollen finger instead - but it's in the early stages of the relationship so whatever.

Honestly, that does make sense, she finds the freedom from Miyagi, a person she can act herself with, even if Miyagi is... weird, and forces her to do things. Nicer then being forced to be someone else.

I do not get why so many people in these comments are saying this is peak. Like don't get me wrong this is really well made and good. But I just don't see why it's being called basically the thing best ever, even after reading the spoilers in this comment section. Is there something I'm missing?
As a novel enjoyer, I do kinda agree that the series is a bit overrated, but also, I feel like the main things I like about the novel haven't really shown up yet, and aren't really connected to the events of the plot, which would make them difficult to pick up just from reading spoilers.
Yeah, this is definitely a story that either hits someone hard or just seems to slide by leaving them going "eh", there's not a lot of middle ground.

I think the key factor is whether you can identify with them - the story is approximately 95% these two, with the most significant character aside from them taking up maybe 3% (she hasn't shown up yet), and a handful of other characters rounding things out (also not seen, and won't be for a long time yet). Because of that, the more you identify with either Sendai or Miyagi the more impact it has; if you don't see any of yourself in either of them there's not a whole lot you'll get out of it . . . Not even titillation, honestly, since neither of them are getting off on any of the weird stuff they do.

That said, the characters are written extremely well, and the way they develop over the course of the story is handled equally well, so there may be enough to keep someone's interest even when they're not invested in the characters. Though you really do need to be patient, and willing to recognise and accept small steps forward, as well as being able to handle the frustration of backward steps . . . and, of course, the Goddess of Frustration herself, Miyagi - very much the core driver of the story, but at the same time also a giant swamp that can feel like it might drown all hope of progress.

Note: I'm mostly talking about the web novel (and as far as I can tell the light novels, since my understanding is that they're not significantly different to the WN). The manga adaptation has a long long way to go, and it's still a bit up in the air how well it'll be able to adapt the source material long term - it's doing a good job so far, though.

. . . . not wanting to spoil anything (which can be hard, since I've written a ridiculous amount of stuff about these things over the time I've been reading ShuuKura, and my fingers are itching to write a lot more here) . . . but I don't think it's a spoiler to say this deserves more than just an emoticon response - you've hit one of the key elements of Sendai's character.

Keep reading - it's a fun ride (with caveats) . . .

Yeah, I mean, I would know, I was just speculating on how many manga chapters it would take, with around 3-4 web novel chapters equating to 1 manga chapter, and as we know some web novel chapters are longer and would take a whole manga chapter, its gonna take a long time at this monthly pace to get to those parts, some webnovels like ReZero and Mushoku are getting slowly through it at a similar glacial pace and adapting the whole work, despite their sizes, but I wonder if my comfy toxic yuri could actualy get the same treatment, not having a high profile anime adaptation (yet) to acompany it.

At the very least, this manga has really high production quality, its art, composition, paneling are all superb and so far no issues with too many cut lines or anything either, I feel like I can follow the story even better than when just reading WN. Its actualy amazing how much better the art is compared to the Mushoku manga and even the pretty competent ReZero manga, despite those being from mega popular series. So it gives me a lot of hope they are going all in investing in it, maybe even lining up an anime for it as well. :thonk:
