I doubt Heracles would have voted for humanity’s destruction, given a unanimous vote is needed and his own unbending will that doesn’t sway even in front of the gods, I imagine gods with human origins just couldn’t vote on the matter at all. Same with the Valkyries, who I think were described as half-gods?

Buddhism actually doesn’t have deities to worship if I recall. There are divine beings, but are subject to the same cycle of death and rebirth as everything else until enlightenment is attained. So Buddha instigating the death of gods isn’t too surprising.

Also, Shiva has many tricks up his sleeve. He can use his Astra, or if he’s feeling particularly vicious, spew out the Halahala from his throat, for example.
