What's to ignore? We already know that assassin who attacked Jelly earlier can control monsters. We already know that he's realized Jelly is still alive. The most interesting thing about the gadget fly is that the hero was able to sense such a small monster.

He went whole hog on the gadget fly since it was a clear threat, but if he sensed both her and the slimes and knew what they were he might be choosing to take a wait and see approach. Especially since she just returned from actually doing her saintess job.


Not saying this is what is happening given how comedic this story is. But feel like putting it out there

Yeah, I was thinking this as well, though depending on how much he knew about the old Jelly, it might be less "I don't want to jump to conclusions" and more "it all makes sense now"!

I make sirup from dandelion flowers every year during spring. It's super tasty. But the flower jelly ate looks nothing like a dandelion. It has more similarities with an oxeye daisy.
