Well that explains their past then. Non-chan obviously hurt over her efforts in trying to connect to Gojo at the time falling on deaf ears, being a child will say whatever comes to mind, and Gojo having the thing that effectively saved him from being crushed by the sorrow of his parents untimely passing, having that insulted by whom he may have considered a childhood friend obviously hurts, but if its like that it will resolve itself pretty quickly.

We have far more fun drama unfolding on the Marin side of things lmao.
Also I forgot how badly he was hit with trauma from Non-chan tho looking back at some of the earlier chapters damn girl really fucked up Gojo without realizing it.

The author really needs to come up with other ways to create drama and push plot forward besides just people misunderstanding each other and never communicating. Like, I know that's a fairly common thing IRL, but seeing the same story beats over and over is getting kinda repetitive. I can't feel any sense of tension or drama at this point, even though this is what should be a culminating moment for the MC's trauma and dealing with it. Wish I could, but I just feel nothing.

I completely agree, I also feel the exact same. I think the fact that this is a monthly manga just adds to the fact that readers can’t feel the tension as we wait month after month for more miscommunication.

Marin will strictly stay away from him from this point on. No matter how stupid that is for a character like Marin who was esteblished as no-nonesense / headstrong charcter in the first 80 chapters.

New girl will try to make amends and get closer in the absence of Marin and will learn that she is not the GF so she will press harder.

100 more chapters guaranteed. Decent writing? Lol we need money, how gives a fuck about writing. Expect more misunderstandings, no communications and more assumptions to stall as long as possible. See you in 2026 when this chapter resolves and hopefully we are back to school shenanigans.

A lot of the reactions are so odd to me, Sono Bisque has never been pure romcom fluff.

Some people have always been waiting for it to turn back into what they THOUGHT it was because of what the anime adaptation sold to them. They feel like they've been bait-and-switched. I felt that way a bit early on but I came to accept what the manga actually was.

She is irreleavant. Sur she gave him his complex about like Hina dolls, but we're past that now. She could have never been introduced and the story wouldn't have been worse. This is another stupid additional character that we have to pretend is a potential romantic rival until she disappears like all the rest.

why are you incapable of picturing a heartfelt personal relationship between her and Wakana without "pretending she's a romantic rival"? She is someone he has an important connection to and it will be an occasion for him to show the emotional growth he's achieved, maybe even to get a significant support character into the story. No romance clue and no need to interpret all existing females as potential romantic partners

We're not going to see any progress at all. This series is going to go down the depression and misunderstanding route forever until it gets axed. Have you not been paying attention to the last year and a half of chapters? 0 romance, 0 comedy. The series has changed genre and the author will drag it out until the publisher cancels the series because people stopped reading it.

Jesus christ shut the fuck up. The latest volume is literally one of the most popular and well selling volumes yet. Literally got praise all over Japanese social media. News flash: the brain dead Mangadex comment section doesn't reflect the actual audience of the manga. It's still a money maker, and still loved by the Japanese fanbase.

It's actually a whiplash seeing so many people whining about the pacing in the western fanbase when no one gives a fuck about it on the Japanese side.

It's funny how so many comments out themselves as not reading the chapter or just trying to act like they're smarter than the writer by "predicting" the story beats, but showing how awful they are at reading comprehension. Notice how for multiple pages barely anyone discussed what happened in the chapter, they just complained about there being drama without elaborating.

It's very obvious this isn't going to be a love triangle, and anyone entertaining that idea needs to be called an idiot. It's also obvious WHY this is happening right now. The romantic relationship cannot happen until Gojo's underlying trauma is dealt with, otherwise it's a doomed relationship. People joke about the pacing, but this is actually killing two birds with one stone.

The new girl is gonna try to apologize but he won't give her the opportunity.
Gojo will be depressed that Marin seemingly abandoned him and will spend all his time making Hina dolls to forget the pain. It's not gonna be pretty bois

Non-chan goes off to college having given up ever apologizing to Gojo. She finds a boyfriend and after graduating they marry.

Marin becomes a big hit in both cosplay and modeling, becoming a professional.

Gojo withdraws from the new world he was exposed to because his Sun is gone. He puts his head down into making Hina dolls. He is successful in taking over the business from his grandfather who then dies happy. He becomes a kashirashi (even though was more skilled making the clothes than the faces) to honor his grandfather. Since he mainly stays to himself this life continues into his late 30s with his having no close friends.

On a whim both Gojo and Marin attend a milestone high school reunion where they meet. They are both 38 at this time. They reminisce about the cosplaying days. Marin tells Gojo that she's retired from the modeling side of the business and has now launched a cosmetics line oriented toward cosplay which is doing well. Her husband handles the administrative side while she handles the creative side. She has one son whom she named Wakana. They say goodbye to each other.

Gojo continues as a karashirashi achieving business success and mid-level renown. Gojo dies single at 72 and the business, with no heir, closes. Gojo's funeral is sparsely attended with only immediate family (cousins and their families). Marin does attend and sobs. She hears someone else sobbing. She looks up and sees Non-chan.

The (horrible) End.

Gojou's unresolved inferiority complex and childhood trauma, Marin's thought of disrupting Gojou's dream and her misunderstanding from the last comiket, and Non-chan's feeling of guilt mixed up into one messy drama. It's going to be convoluted that I wonder how the author is going to fix it all in one.

I felt really bad for Gojou to have it all through in one go. Please sensei, give him a break... 😥

Great! There is certainly nothing better than drama that can easily be solved with basic comunication to drag the story in a monthly series that has the same pages as a weekly series.
