We really need an author to finally subvert the trope of the shy non-intimate MC. It really wears on the charm of any romance series, this one especially after all the build up to them getting together.

It's my nemesis, "too shy to hold hands and use first names." I get it though- sweet precious new baby relationship has to be careful or it'll dent the skull on the corners of the furniture.

Oh vile portent, the diet sub-arc is not over. Gojo better prepare to tailor some cosplay outfits. Will Marin lose modeling jobs and cost them their cosplay funds? Will she ever learn self-restraint?!

It's not just that but also the Japanese culturally are a more private people. there are obviously going to be some exceptions, but also going to be extremes. Gojo is one such extreme- he wants to keep his public life entirely separate from his private life. I wish he'd hold her hand too, though. This is why it is a norm in Japanese romance manga- because it's a cultural staple. Remember, they are writing their works for their home audience and themselves, not internationally and certainly not localized internationally, so alter your expectations accordingly.
