This manga is really okay about queerness, I'm glad. I wholly enjoy this series. It's really a mood-killer for me when the story seems okay and then BAM, 90s-style jokes at the expense of LGBT+ people. This series does make jokes about it, but the angle is refreshing and it's not just used as a punch line or a comedic device without any consideration for the characters involved.
I mean... even if you're not bothered by the insensitivity of it, lots of series carry on these really cheap, overdone tropes that should've died long ago but somehow still hang on. And it almost always goes hand in hand with a looot of other cheap, overdone tropes that start creeping in more and more into the series instead of going towards fresh stuff. I tried and dropped like 10 relatively hyped series just in the last few weeks because of that, and I was kind of losing hope. So I'm really glad I found this.
