In comparison to many romcoms series this manga is actually doing pretty good in terms of progress and adequate characters. MC is shy but not retarded and acts somewhat believable and Mari is even better, imo she doesn't have any significant flaws as character. Love triangle is not the best thing, but it's ok unless it transforms into harem, so I really hope manga won't go harem route.

A bit unrelated but why is that in romcoms it's always side characters who fall in love with protagonist and not the other way around? Why for example MC couldn't have secondary crush on the other girl who doesn't romantically interested in him. This happens in dramas but not in romcoms.
