A practical spell with not much practical use huh
They'll use body heat for that. That spell is useless if Stark can't go shirtless for Fern's enjoyment
A.k.a. "Chapter end.""Frieren will be taking a short break."
So at this point the mimic is the final boss.Every time Frieren the series take a break, the mimics grow stronger
The politicking began even earlier. Weise was founded by people ousted from the empire due to political struggles. It is likely the lack of a common enemy exacerbated these issues following the defeat of the demon king but signs of this were already there even before then.I'm starting to think the decay we're seeing of the Empire came with the era of peace.
The old buff and strong nobility was outmaneuvered by more elegant and politically savvy nobles, and the Empire is no longer capable of defending itself like it used to, since they no longer have warriors at the helm.
Final Mimic with a 0.001% chance of having a grimoire, but will actually kill youIt took me a while to determine whether the fortress was in a lake or in a forest.
Nothing wrong with a plain fortress. It's supposed to be functional first. But a few of those windows look misplaced, like the top ones on the towers. And they'd probably more likely be arrow slits, though it depends on how magic factors into that.
Oh, they actually said that.
I'm not sure "fortress" is specifically when a lord resides there, but a castle is. A fortress is more of a strictly military building.
Even the butler is buff.
They were just talking about how the people here didn't care much for elegance, so why is he worried about speaking impolitely?
Yeah, I had the same idea as Frieren, that he was shirtless on purpose.
Frieren is not impressed by monetary rewards.
Yeah, body warmth is so practical it's surprising it would even show up in this manga.

Explain how.GIRL. YOU USE MONEY TO BUY GRIMOIRES.
Yeah, but I understand the appeal of learning wacky spells from some random guy or grimoire than just buying them.GIRL. YOU USE MONEY TO BUY GRIMOIRES.
She already scanned his junk and doesn't care about what she sawThat spell is useless if Stark can't go shirtless for Fern's enjoyment
Buy ......... grimoires????? what is this witchcraft that you speak of? XDGIRL. YOU USE MONEY TO BUY GRIMOIRES.
Fern handles most if not all of the parties actual accounting work and rationing of their supplies. She makes sure that they always have enough to keep moving -- plus hunting is a thing. Stark is a powerful warrior who can kill regular bears with his bare hands and so hunting for food isn't an issue. Fishing is also a thing.no, but seriously, how do they have enough funds to keep traveling?? you can't buy food with grimoires unless the person selling you food is frieren XD
Bro......They were offered half a giant pile of gold. THAT moneyExplain how.
A car can have an unimpressive undercarriage, just so long as the chassis is built like a greek god.She already scanned his junk and doesn't care about what she saw
If I recall, Frieren was rewarded quite a lot when the Hero party killed the Demon King. But by the time the present story began, that would've been decades already. And unlike everyone else, she basically squandered on her wealth instead of reinvesting or working on it to grow.It also just occured to me a sum that's enough for a human to retire on is NOT enough with elven life spans, so no wonder she's not interested in immediate riches, she'll use it all up eventually!
