Ugh what a cheat squad, they'll be a pain to handle...
Not the kind of enemy where you can seize a large advantage initiating a fight with a surprise attack...
Also what kind of poisoned arrow doesn't kill (normal humans at least)

Is this the first time the "three great mages" are brought up? And if so, are they possibly holy wand emblem owners / Frieren, Minus, Serie(?) :thonk:
Even then Serie is probably in a league of her own...

Frieren is incredibly bad at lying lol :dogkek:
If they end up at that bar now, they'd at least have the numbers advantage though...

Thanks for the upload!

Assassins: "We need to be careful and prepared our enemies are no joke"
Frieren: "My money gone" :meguuusad:
lol if banks existed in this world surely her interest would've gained her a lot of savings unless it takes a lot of expenses for the grimoires and to keep her fed and stuff (well she does prefer to go at a slower pace i wonder if she technically has to eat everyday versus like once a week)

if not taking on some sidequests/jobs to earn back the money

"The Great Mage Minus"
Me: "Lets go! Another elf! I wonder if Frieren's party will meet her..."
"She died 20 years ago."
Me: "GOD F***ING DAMMIT!!!!"

Also did Minus caused the war in the South that Fern's parents died in?
very very interesting things: Minus is, well, was atleast responsible for Ferns situation and the war down South. Seems like a huge arc with many factions and interests, and obviously some wholesome Himmel lore with Rasen
We're talking about an Empire conspiring to assassinate Serie at the mere thought of her being a threat without her actually threatening anything, using a bunch of child soldier secret police. If the official stance is that Minus is responsible for causing that war, 90% chance she was just defending herself and/or others and the Empire spun it as her "fault".

Frieren... "it was all part of keikaku (keikaku means plan)".

I am furious with something here... do these fucks not stop to think about the consequences of their actions? Or feel even a little bit suspicious that some guy they didn't know about shows up commanding an unknown authority to command them to kill two of the most important people in the world?

There is being loyal... and there is being stupid... which one do you guys think these idiots are being?
