Serie and Frieren interaction nice. Honestly would've loved to see Serie tie Frieren's hair but Sense is a good replacement. Interesting seeing what other spells the first class mages asked for.

Honestly feeling some massive death flags though for Serie.

Just had a thought, I know the mages can summon their staves out of hammerspace, and Sein doesn't need anything for holy magic (as far as I know), but Stark doesn't have access to his axe does he? Unless Frieren/Fern shoved it into their own hammerspace, will he just throw hands with any aggressors he meets, or beat someone with a chair?

I keep getting the sense that Serie is actually orchestrating her own assassination attempt. Like, she's the hand behind the Shadow Warriors that set them on this path. Killing various mages to have a threat to keep them sharp without demons or something, maybe thinking that the world might be a better place without her weight and perspective coloring how magic is used/perceived.

Does this mean, that Serie truly fears that she is in path to certain death that can not be avoided. Or is she hoping that they may accomplish something impossible?

This was always a slice of life. That's what makes this fantasy tale special. The "last boss" has been killed. However, after the death of the Hero, Frieren decided to better understand him and humans in general. That's the purpose of the series.

That said, it does suck about the hiatus. I had heard rumors that Yamada-sensei might be ill. The Japanese tend to be pretty tight lipped about these things though, so we'll likely never know. Then again, it is possible that Yamada-sensei is busy helping the anime production team. Or, Yamada-sensei's artist is the one who's ill or cannot draw.
