El Dorado into this has been an unreal level of quality. If these 2 arcs get animated eventually at the same quality level as S1, Frieren will cement its status as a true classic show on par with the very best.
Honestly, my biggest issue with this time travel arc specifically is that it's so good that it's made me feel like Fern and Stark are just way less interesting. Frieren seems to just have better chemistry with this original hero party. So it's a double edged sword in terms of writing. On one hand, we get an amazing arc that's emotionally gripping me in a way the story hasn't until now, but on the other hand, when it's over, we'll go back to something I feel comparatively less invested in...

Hnnn, personally not a fan of seeing Frieren get forced into a wedding dress. My best friend is aroace and it bothered me when a mutual friend joked about shipping us together.

Surely, Himmel will recall Frieren is aroace, not disrespect her by indulging in the illusion, and thus easily break out of it! Cmon, Himmel! (I don't have actual high hopes, tropes being what they are, but it would be nice...)

damn do people just not like fern and stark lmao. i guess it's been so long since they had anything major to do in the "long" arcs (magic exam had no stark, revolte was meh, macht and denken stole the show in el dorado) or have personal character moments (their date was like way back in ch 66) but i personally miss having them around.

i'll just have to hope the eventual confrontation/s with tod and rivale get more people to appreciate those two (definitely looking forward to them encountering rivale in the present, there's gonna be a lot of personal baggage on stark's side for that fight).

Are they all experiencing the same illusion? Is it just one of them? If so, is this Himmel’s or Frieren’s illusion? Is it okay to cry now? Should I hold my tears until the next chapter? Never mind I’m already crying.

It's like other people said, it's not like the new party with Fern and Stark is bad, it's just that the og party is too fucking good

Crazy good chapter. Tragically beautiful. And hype. I wonder if the illusion magic hit Eisen, and if Rivale is malding about it stopping his fight lol

No wonder we haven’t seen Tod’s face, she’s bad in combat but has a planet wide curse winding up, Jesus. Guess that’s priority #1 when back into the present assuming Frieren learns of it here.
As I said in the chapter that they introduced Tod in. Komm, Süßer Tod.

"Me? Marrying Frieren? PREPOSTEROUS! There's no way in hell would she agree to marry me. All she ever cares is looting all that useless trinkets and grimoires."
"There's not even a treasure chest mimic to fool her! This is an illusion!"

It's not that I don't like them. I actually like them quite a lot. However this arc has kinda shown us that Frieren has waaaay more chemistry with the original hero party, and indeed, the original hero party also had more chemistry with each other than Fern and Stark do. It's less that Fern and Stark are bad, but that Himmel, Eisen, and Heiter are just exceptionally good.

Dropping this hell of a cliffhanger and the manga goes on a holiday for a few weeks.

The mangaka knows how to make everyone suffer from waiting.

i will just echo what others have said: Its not that Fern and Stark bad, but Frieren with these two are basically like mentor and disciple. While frieren with the OG Hero party are basically Equal comrade, they dont even need instructions anymore to function well, and can correctly guess what the other will be doing and capable of.

Didn't expect Omniscient "Jschlact" would make a cameo.
thats the demon that can see future right? ever since his appearance in previous Arc in cahpter 89, i know this is the case. i mean, he knows that frieren was watching the past through the Golden transmute Macht Demon memories, he really is omniscient to know that. HEck, he even instruct to block the demon memories so frieren cant grasp crucial info about his future plan.

these demons are really a menace, wonders how they manage to kill their demon king, or is it truly dead

To each their own, I guess. I prefer Fern and Stark myself. And as much as I like Himmel and the others, I'm hoping this arc ends soon.
