With the pace we were going at you would have had to wait at least 6 years or more before we reached the ending. I'm sure Viz will put out the final volume before we ever would have. This is a net positive for everyone. You get the ending faster and translated by one of the best in the industry, and we get to work on other series that are not licensed.

It's not about your work your work is fine it's just that it's going to take forever and a half for viz to catch up and very few groups will translate it now that it's licensed

I still can't believe Viz hired a translator that is a decent person. Rarer than 1 in a million for Official English releases

My guess is that since this is basically a promo vehicle for M:tG, they ain't gonna fuck around with a Hasbro property.

I understand and thank Vinland for their work on this. Localising the cards themselves must be brutal.

But darn it if we don't need to find some way to TL the next chapter(s)!

Why would delocalizing the cards be hard at all? It's an english game to start with. Most of the time they can directly substitute the original US cards for the JP ones.


Also, damn. Never woulda expected this to got a license. I guess occasionally Hasbro CAN make a decision that doesn't suck!

True, I was thinking about the redrawing of the cards, if the raws show them in Japanese

So Viz's Vol 1 comes out on October 8th(this coming Tuesday), with Vol 2 on preorder for January 14, 2025. If this is the pattern they stick to, we'll get the next chapter/Vol 13 in November 2027, and catch up to Japan's current/Vol 16 in August 2028.
