A PERFECT AND WELL-DESERVED ENDING

I have already mentioned in other comments that since Eliza's death, the writing and execution of this work has been in decline, getting worse and worse as the story progressed. So much so that I assumed the ending would be terrible, but... it was a well-deserved ending!

Yes, I know they left certain plot holes necessary to justify the ending, such as Sarah's change of objective from wanting to exterminate humanity to becoming a pacifist for who knows what reason. That must have been due to the cancellation of the manga and they had to rush everything. But despite those plot holes, the ending is good. You can tell that the author had the ending planned from the beginning and stayed true to it. The question was how to get there (which, honestly, I didn't like how he did it), but at least you can tell that it was always the definitive ending, that everything is a kind of repeated “cycle,” parallel to the beginning of the story.

Anyway, I liked the ending. I feel like it was the best thing for the protagonist. He had a lot of new experiences that he couldn't have had before because of the miserable life he had. Meeting and kissing Eliza completely changed his life. In the end, she was always his favorite, the true love of his life (sorry, Cherry, even you knew that), and that's why Ichi had nothing left to live for on earth.

I liked that even in his last memories, Eliza was still present, and she deserves it. She gave her life for him, and Ichi recognizes that. Now you could say that she was reborn to be someone else's “Eliza,” but this time as a completely new being.

Personally, I will take it as if she were a kind of “daughter” of Ichi and Eliza. That is the ending I choose to believe and interpret 💙

This shit really tried too hard to be le crazy random Kojimbo-my-goat copy #1000000 until the very end, huh. No matter what medium, trying too hard to be Kojima pretty much never works. Kind of a shame since the first ~15 chapters were quite fun.

Well, the manga turning into a battle conflict series with absolute dogshit unfunny comedy certainly didn't increase enjoyment.

Another aspect might have been the author and artist going separate ways, but honestly it wouldn't surprise me if Akira just got bored. In hindsight even Me and the Devil Blues also lacks cohesion and a clear aim.

Actually, it explains it there, Ichi no longer had anything left to do on EARTH, he had already experienced everything. Not even for Cherry and the girls, as he made it clear until the end that Eliza was his favorite, and no one else. Basically, Ichi chose to die and be reborn to change the lives of others on other planets.

I'm just gonna come out and say it..... this manga felt against men. The guys didn't get their girls and the protag became a girl for an alien guy who might not have male genitals. All the spheres got a huge money making work, no love life, and on their way getting rights. The spheres were confessing their love but just seeing him as an "important person" and was okay with letting him get yeeted to the universe.

Ichi didn't learn his lesson about wanting a fantasy but instead staying as a girl to become the next "dream girl" to another. Still felt gay with that bishounen bastard

Am I overthinking too much? Probably. Am I reading too much into the context in this ecchi manga when it just wanted to show tits and camel toes? Is it the classic 'its not that deep' bruh'? Yep.

I'm just saying what I feel even if its wrong or right. I'm just curious about if the spheres will live that long to see Ichi again.
