Doubt this alien will realize this girl is actually a man who got genderbent but it also begs the question if Eliza was also in the same boat. Honestly this story really jumped the shark that I lost any hope for there to be a satisfying conclusion & checked myself out when reading this. Certain plot points would get skipped over & hand waved that even if there's an extra chapter, I doubt it will clear things up. Good luck to the author's next project since Blue Lock is making so much $$$ that they can literally right whatever regardless of being a flop. The artist is free to do whatever but should definitely not do something that will be abandoned. Thank you for translating this to completion & hope you guys at least had fun doing it.
I mean, does it really matter that he was a guy? For all we know, alien cultures could have two sexes, three sexes, or something completely different, like mushrooms, which have dozens of sexes. Realistically, human biology would be very different from alien biology, and alien biology would also be very different from Super Ball Girls biology.

If you met an alien who, to you, seems like a girl, and in a very manga-like turn of events you decided to date her, and later learned that her species has four different sexes, none of which neatly fit the human “female” (or "male") category, you probably would not care. Most people would not even fully grasp how those other sexes work anyway. Unless explained in detail.

As for Eliza, I wondered the same thing. It might be cyclical and simply how the species spreads. An SBG arrives on a planet, they proliferate, one fully fuses with a local individual, and eventually this new fused being is expelled into space by collective instinct, restarting the process elsewhere.

...so Ichi basically just fucking died because he comes out a braindead retard when he re-emerges on the other planet?

The other girls never get to see him again either. He's just gone.

Is this also implying that Eliza also used to be a sentient man that got lobotomized and genderbent by this ball-virus thing?

I'm genuinely getting pissed off with how many manga just end in the cringiest most shit way possible.

Hopefully the artist actually works on something funny again like finishing Futari Switch and the author never writes again.
We need to choose between an artist who draws very well, and an artist who writes a story very well. It's rare to find a work where the author is good at both writing and drawing... and the author of this work doesn't fit that description.
the author has some good/semi-good manga though https://www.mangaupdates.com/author/h9uv1sw/kaneshiro-muneyuki?orderby=year :
blue lock, Jagaaaaaan, Kami-sama no Iu toori, Boku-tachi ga Yarimashita

more likely blue lock's popularity made author lose interest in this.

One of the greatest go no where do nothing manga. Pretty art and wet as a fart and I expected nothing but nonsense from this artist and author duo and got exactly that.
So I have neither gained nor lost anything.
See ya'll in another comment section :bocchiwave:

To be honest, I'm not totally against the ending. Not every series has to end with a happily ever after, the main character beats all the enemies and fucks all the girls-type shit. In a vacuum, Ichiyoshi not having anything to live for on Earth and instead making someone else's dreams come true feels like it goes full circle.

My main concern is how the conflict seemed to just fizzle out overnight. Like sure, Ichiyoshi's journey was solid, but outside of that there was nothing really there. But I guess Jagaaan and Grashros had similar issues too. Wary of Blue Lock now.

Anyway, solid 6-7/10. Good on the authors, now please go back to Me and the Devil Blues Akira.

Edit: I was curious but apparently to have a superball leave Earth's atmosphere, it needs 2.8 million joules of energy. If you throw it, your hand would be moving at 11.2 km/s. AKA Mach 33.

I usually hate it when people say this but in this case it has to be true: this author is taking some hard drugs! There cannot be another explanation

Glad to know I made the right choice dropping this right away, but it makes me wonder:
do japanese writer have the concept of a narrative baggage (or however you may want to call it) ? The plot points you may accrue during a story that you need to answer/address in some way?

Too often I see stories that may have gone even for hundreds of chapters and the writer act like it doesn't matter how many questions, or plot threads they opened, they will deal with them at a later time, but given how fickle the nature of Manga publishing can be, what gives them the confidence they will have the time to deliver the answers to those things?
What is the mentality here?

Imagine the Lord of the Rings japanese version, you are in the final third of the third book and this version of the book still hasn't answered things like:
What is Sauron's plan? How was the ring made? Will Aragorn become the king? Why does the ring corrupt people? Will destroying the ring kill Sauron?

Um ok I guess that's the end. Dude got genderbent kissed orgasimed so hard he turned into a ball then thrown onto an alien planet and guess will restart everything there a whole kiss apocalypse again probably.

I stopped reading 30 then finished it today and did it go down hill quick and then it just turned into wtf? Ok mf ntr'd. Ok then genderbend. Ok then a whole chapter of a hand job for some creepy dude I barely remember. Then date and kiss with the dude who ntr'd you at one point. Btw he blasted off one of his balls. Then everything fucking else. Besides the art this manga certainly made me go wtf the most in a short span of time probably.

Also according to MAL this is my 600th manga I guess. Certainly an interesting read I guess but wouldn't read again. Hopefully the artist makes something else next time cuz despite everything I can't deny that the art is something else. I can't blame them though since they're not the writer. They just drew so good I had to finish even if i'm confused the whole time. Hopefully maybe they can make a comedy like Prison School again. I haven't read any other works, though. Honestly just get a good writer then combine with the insane art and they could make a minimum 8/10 manga probably. Add in more hot girls cuz the artist is hella good at that and maybe it'll boost sells enough to have a long enough manga with a good story. Sadly that wasn't the case for this manga.

Also what drugs was the writer taking? Or is this just what happens when you overdose on ego writing Blue lock?

Overall I guess I enjoyed this?
